As longstanding design partners of Hitachi Data Systems, we were instructed to create a new set of promotional literature for their Hitachi Universal Storage Platform® V product. Being a highly technical, information and systems driven arena you’d be forgiven for the ability to speak ‘tech’ was a given. Following our discovery session with the client it became immediately apparent that this wasn’t the right approach for the decision makers in their buying cycle.
As the brief sharpened, the messaging clarified. It was to create a far simpler, top-level ‘non-technical’ messaging campaign targeted at the financial decision makers, which would help improve the HDS corporate sales teams conversion rates. The campaign consisted of three individual messaging campaigns focusing on the ‘simplified’ messaging which were distributed using high-end print-based collateral, interactive merchandising, promotional website and targeted email support.
