Industrials is one of the largest UK landlords offering high-quality units with a simple letting process. Their goal is to be the first choice for industrial and warehouse units to let. Their uniquely flexible letting terms, transparent pricing, and support services are all designed to make their customers’ lives easier. As the lead branding and design agency, Crux was appointed to help reposition Industrials.co.uk as the leading provider of industrial business units in the UK.
We started by talking to all the business stakeholders to understand better who they wanted to be, their aspirations as a business, and, more importantly, what their customers wanted. To appreciate that they (as landlords) provided a service to their customers and not the other way around. It was vital to offer the customers a product they wanted that worked for them, not just the landlord. Which meant not trying to tie them up into knots with long, inflexible leases and wordy legal documentation. You manage your business, and we will take care of everything property. No Surprises. No Constraints. No Problem.
We created a unique new visual identity that reflected Industrials as a business and would appeal to their customer base. It was essential to deliver a brand image that positioned the company as friendly and approachable, the opposite of the existing neglected industry. The brand icon’s use of negative white space to create the door opening in the shape of an ‘i’ created the brand marque that would become the visual identity for the Industrials brand. The lively supporting colour palette and contemporary typographic styling would make the perfect platform for implementing the brand.

To ensure consistency across the brand, we produced extensive brand guidelines for internal and external use. After all, when you’ve done the hard work of creating a stunning brand, the last thing you want is to see what you’ve created used in the wrong way. The new brand identity was rolled out across the business and all customer touchpoints, from the internal office branding and website to customer on-boarding documentation, industrial estate signage, and wayfinding.
This project was one of the most enjoyable we’ve worked on. We were incredibly fortunate that our client and their dedicated and passionate team embraced the whole process, which is one of the main reasons for the rebrand’s success. We’re immensely proud of what everyone has achieved, from beautifully printed marketing communications to an intuitive and user-friendly website stacked out with fantastic features.
